Background
The Enugu East Human Capital Development Trust Fund (EEHCDTF) successfully conducted the second edition of the Greater Tomorrow Scholarship Examination—an initiative designed to promote academic excellence and support the educational aspirations of outstanding students within Enugu East and beyond. The programme aligns with the Council’s vision to nurture young minds and invest in human capital as the cornerstone of community transformation.
Registration Process
The registration portal for the 2025 edition of the scholarship examination opened on 11th June 2025 and closed on 11th August 2025. To ensure inclusivity and accessibility, the process was conducted through both online and offline channels, allowing students from all backgrounds and communities to participate without barriers. A total of 2,071 students successfully registered for the examination—an impressive increase that underscores the growing credibility and public trust in the EEHCDTF initiative.
Examination Conduct
The scholarship examination was held on 16th August 2025 and consisted of 60 objective questions designed to assess the candidates’ comprehension, analytical reasoning, and general awareness. The examination covered three core subject areas:
- Mathematics: 20 questions
- English Language: 20 questions
- General Studies: 20 questions
To ensure fairness, accuracy, and efficiency in evaluation, the test was administered using computer-readable answer sheets. Candidates were instructed to shade their responses with HB pencils to facilitate digital grading and maintain uniformity across all scripts.

The examination was conducted under the strict supervision of the Enugu East Human Capital Development Trust Fund Committee, whose members ensured that every phase of the exercise adhered to principles of transparency, integrity, and merit. The smooth execution of the process once again demonstrated the Fund’s operational excellence and its unwavering commitment to credible educational advancement.
